What makes the Waldorf Early Childhood program unique is that the teachers strive to preserve the innocence and innate wonder of early childhood. Creating a secure, inviting, joyful environment is of the utmost importance. The day unfolds in a natural way, following a dependable rhythm that gives the children a sense of security and consistency. Drawing, watercolor painting, beeswax modeling, baking, handwork, woodwork, storytelling, puppetry, and outdoor play are among the activities that nourish the children's awe and wonder and create an environment worthy of imitation, the natural learning style at this age.
The Upper Valley Waldorf School offers three programs for young children. These programs run from 8:30 a.m. - 12 noon with an extended day option until 3:00 p.m.
