UVWS Hires Community Development Administrator
We are pleased to announce the recent hire of Doug Pilcher as our Community Development Administrator. In this role Doug will work to develop connections both within and outside our community and will be responsible for our fundraising initiatives.
Doug grew up in Thetford, VT and attended Hanover High School. He graduated from Northeastern University with a BA in Journalism and worked at the Valley News in the sports section. After spending time in New Zealand, Maine, and Colorado Doug returned to the Upper Valley and earned a Master’s from the Upper Valley Educator Institute. He spent time as a classroom teacher at the Warren Village School in Warren, NH and Rivendell Academy in Orford, NH teaching social studies before leaving the classroom to pursue higher education. Currently Doug is enrolled in a Doctorate of Education at Northeastern with a focus on Organizational Leadership and Culture. He lives in White River Junction with his wife Lucy, and their three children.
Doug is energetic and enthusiastic about the UVWS culture, and we are looking forward to working with him. Welcome, Doug!
